Stauffer 1830's

This impressive instrument has a wonderful tone. The red wax seal on the label, often reffered to as "Legnani's seal".  This guitar has been published in James Westbrook's "The Century that Shaped the Guitar".In it, the author states "Shattered-glass maple back on spruce, with solid sides. A clock key adjustable ...neck. A floating ebony fingerboard"
